Sure the title may be a bit deceiving but I have a serious issue here that needs to be put on the floor.
Recently in searching the web for material to post here I stumbled upon these nice little articles by two different columnists that I just had to post here for all you to see.
Seems like our friends over at the Washington Post as well as the Wall Street Journal have a problem with one of America's best inventions that has spread it's influence across the world. This invention would be the infamous denim blue jeans, you know the clothing we all love to wear.
In the first article from the Washington Post written by George F. Will you'll find nothing but a bash on our modern day societies common wear. On top of this he goes to bash gamers stating "American "gamers" -- people who play video games -- are older than 18 and nevertheless are allowed to vote." In other words stating that us "gamers" should not be aloud to vote and shape the face of the country. He goes on attacking some of our favorite shows such as King of the Hill, Seinfeld, as well as Two and a Half Men. On top of this attacking great movies as "juvenilized" which isn't even a real term (seriously for a man that is degrading those that he thinks are lesser then him sure could find real word to convey his feelings). He goes to attack those in Silicon Valley who have become rich in their inventions that run the modern world because they wear jeans. Now I do understand the stigma against jeans that has been laid out in our society. However in the modern world these things have been lifted at an ever increasing rate. All in all I think it is safe to say that while society evolves Mr. Will has remained belligerent to to join in the progress. Either way he needs to take a Sociology class.
You can read this article here.
You can read the W.S.J. article here
In the end it is anyone's right to complain all they want about a situation but at the end of the day just keep this in mind, "You can't stop progress"
And we will leave belligerent as the word of the day
belligerent: a. waging war, or the state of being hostile.
Note: We try our best to keep politics as well as religion out of the posts but I do think that this relates to most people
